Minnesota Loses an Avalanche of a game
The Minnesota Wild faced off against the Colorado Avalanche. It was a close game up until midway through the second period. The wild were leading 3 to 2 with two goals from Pierre-Marc Bouchard. The third from red hot Mikko Koivu. After this the wild tied a team record with four goals in the second period. The game ended up to be Colorad with six goals and Minnesota with five. It is the first time the Minnesota Wild lost when scoring five or more goals. It was also the fifth time in franchise history that the wild let in six goals. This was a very unusual game, considering the Minnesota Wild usually have extremely good defense . Even though the Wild lost, they learned a good lesson. They learned that you can never play with a lack of focus. If you are not in the game, the coach will make sure you are taken out.
